Job Purpose
As a Guest Service Agent, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes guests aboard, handles their inquiries, and ensures their cruise experience is unforgettable. Your role will be crucial in providing exceptional service and creating a positive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing information and general assistance.
- Communication: Handle phone calls and guest requests promptly and professionally.
- Administration: Perform necessary administrative tasks efficiently.
- Financial Management: Manage financial transactions and cash floats with accuracy.
Job Requirements
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (oral and written) and at least three additional European languages (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish, and French).
- Education: High School certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in the cruise industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Publisher; knowledge of the Fidelio Cruise System is an advantage.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer care skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities.
- Certification: STCW95 certification is compulsory (Basic fire fighting, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid, personal security, and social responsibility).
- Medical Certification: A recognized medical certification is required before starting work on board.
